GFTS has an average student intake of 20-25 per batch for both programs (CPL and PPL). The duration of CPL course is approximately 24 months which includes compulsory minimum flying requirement of 200 hours.The duration of the PPL course is approximately 12 months requiring compulsory flying of a minimum of 40 hours (as per DGCA guidelines). The PPL/CPL programs also include theoretical courses in Air Regulation, Air Navigation, Meterology,Aircraft General, Technical specific Aircraft & Engines.

STUDENT'S PILOT'S LICENSE(SPL)
|
SPL is part of Private Pilot's Licence and Commercial Pilot's Licence. SPL course cannot be taken independently..
-10th Pass
-No flight experience is required.
-No maximum age limit.

| PRIVATE PILOT'S LICENSE(PPL) |
Min Age 17 Yrs.
-10th Pass
-40 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
-Duration 12 months.
-No maximum age limit.

| COMMERCIAL PILOT'S LICENSE(CPL) |
Min Age 17 Yrs.
-10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
-200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
-Duration 24 months.
-No maximum age but not advisable for candidates above 35 years due to cut off age for airline recruitment.

| MEDICAL FITTNESS |
Should possess good physique /eye sight and should be medically fit as per the standards laid down in the Indian Aircraft Rules. Candidates are required to undergo Medical Examination with a DGCA approved Medical Practitioner / Medical Board and found fit. Fitness is subject to the assessment by the Director General of Civil Aviation New Delhi.
GFTS conducts 300 period of theoritical classess for CPL program and ground classes as required for PPL program. GFTS has 1-Cheif ground instructor and 1-Ground instructor on its strength.
GFTS presently has about 40 staff on its strength, including 09 technical staff (Maintenance Manager -1,Quality Manager-1, Continuing Airworthiness Manager -1, skilled mechanics-1, semi-skilled mechanics-1, storekeeper-1, aircraft hand-2, aircraft helper-1).
